I have lived in Devon my whole life, and being interested in the surroundings in which I live, I chose to research into the magazine Devon Life. The local magazine covers a huge variety of topics around the Southwest, a few of these include people, places, education, social events, food and drink and community. The area of work in which Pam Newman photographs for is the 'Social Life' aspect, she photographs local charitable events. 'My point of focus is purely photographing those people who are actively involved in special events-mostly of the charitable nature- and drawing attention to the purpose of those events.
